19:45 - Huddersfield v Cardiff
Huddersfield Town entertain Cardiff City at the John Smith’s Stadium this Friday night in EFL Championship action. The Terriers have picked up just one win in 2021, thumping Welsh opponents Swansea City 4-1 a fortnight ago. Aside from that surprising result they have really struggled though so they could be in for a long night here. As for the Bluebirds, they are the form team of the Championship, unbeaten in ten and in with a real chance of securing a play-off berth at the very least.
Since the stunning win over the Swans, Carlos Corberan’s men have taken just one point from a possible nine. They have struggled at home since the turn of the year, securing just one victory at the John Smith’s and are languishing in lower midtable. In contrast, Cardiff have been flying under Mick McCarthy, winning seven and drawing three of 10 since the Yorkshireman took charge. City, who walloped Derby County in midweek, are one of the best away teams in the league. Back Cardiff to win -1 (3/1).

12:30 - Burnley v Arsenal
The Premier League weekend kicks off at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon, as Sean Dyche’s Burnley welcome Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to Lancashire. The Clarets are looking over their shoulder after Fulham’s recent resurgence, with the Cottagers now just six points behind with a game in hand. Burnley are currently on 29 points and Dyche and co will be targeting three more wins to see them safe. As for the Gunners, they are in tenth spot with 37 points to their name and not yet out of the fight for the European places.
Burnley held Leicester City to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor in midweek, which was their third draw in four games but a good result for sure. The Lancashire club have picked up just one win from their previous nine league and cup matches though and are in really poor form. Arsenal have lost three of their last five in the Premier League after a good run, although they did beat Leicester 3-1 on the road last time out. We fancy Arteta’s men to edge this one at Turf Moor. Back the Arsenal win and both teams to score (11/4).
12:30 - Watford v Nottingham Forest
In the EFL Championship on Saturday afternoon, Watford entertain Nottingham Forest at Vicarage Road. Chris Hughton’s Forest are in good form and have been hard to beat lately, but the Hornets have the best home record in the Championship. As you would expect, Xisco Munoz’s men are the clear favourites to add another big three points to their tally.
Watford, who eased past Wycombe Wanderers at Vicarage Road in midweek, have been superb on their own patch all season. 41 of their 63 points have been won at home. The Hertfordshire club head into this one having won five of their last six in the league, and Munoz’s men should see off Forest at the weekend. Check out the tempting odds of 21/10 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.
15:00 - Sheffield United v Southampton
Two struggling sides square off in Premier League action at Bramall Lane on Saturday, as Chris Wilder’s rock-bottom Sheffield United take on Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton. The Blades have propped up the Premier League table all season, while the Saints have taken just one point from the last 27 on offer. The Saints are another team who will be concerned by the good form of Fulham and the side that topped the table not so long ago are now looking over their shoulder. Still, Southampton are the bookies’ favourites in this one.
Best Football Betting Tips
Sheffield United have had an abysmal season, but they have certainly improved since the turn of the year. United have won half of their 14 league and cup fixtures in 2021. On Wednesday, a David McGoldrick goal was enough for a 1-0 home win over Aston Villa. Since starting 2021 with a win over champions Liverpool, Southampton have lost eight and drawn one of their following nine in the Premier League. They have a number of injury concerns and against a spirited opponent they may struggle once again. Put some money on the Sheffield United win at the massive price of 13/5.
15:00 - Swansea v Middlesbrough
Swansea City and Middlesbrough meet in an intriguing EFL Championship fixture at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday. The Swans are hunting down an automatic promotion place, while Boro are five points away from the play-off places. Who will come out on top in this huge Championship fixture in South Wales?
After two defeats in three, Swansea picked up a precious three points on the road in midweek. A last-gasp Andre Ayew penalty gave the Swans a 2-1 win over Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium. Middlesbrough also picked up a 2-1 away win, with goals Grant Hall and George Saville doing the business against Coventry City. Boro edged the reverse game at the Riverside, but the Swans are a tough nut to crack at the Liberty. Check out the tempting price of 11/4 for Swansea to win by one.
17:30 - Aston Villa v Wolves
Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers meet in a Premier League local derby at Villa Park on Saturday evening. The Villans will be desperate to bounce back after the midweek loss to bottom club Sheffield United. Wolves have been in good form of late, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were easily beaten by leaders Manchester City in midweek. There is no shame in that, but their late capitulation will have concerned their boss.
Aston Villa have blown hot and cold at Villa Park in recent months, winning three and losing three of the previous six. Before Tuesday’s loss at the Etihad Stadium, Wolves were unbeaten in five in the Premier League, picking up three wins and drawing twice. Villa nicked a 1-0 win at Molineux earlier in the season, and this could be another tight affair between even teams separated by just five points in the table. We fancy the Midlands duo to play out a draw this time, which is priced at solid odds of 23/10.
20:00 - Brighton v Leicester
Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion and Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City go head-to-head at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday night. Since winning three and drawing three of six league games, the Seagulls have lost their last two and like a number of sides, know they need to improve to avoid being dragged into the bottom three. As for the Foxes, they are searching for their first win in four in all competitions, a surprising slump given their excellent previous form.
Brighton are without a victory since stunning Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield on 3rd February. As a result, Albion hover just three points above the bottom three with 12 games to play. Despite taking one point from a possible six, Leicester remain third in the Premier League table. Rodgers’ boys have one of the best away records in the division, and even without the injured Harvey Barnes, the visitors will fancy their chances at the Amex. City won the reverse game 3-0 – back Leicester to win to nil again at the chunky looking price of 7/2.
Sunday 7th March 2021
12:00 - West Brom v Newcastle
West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United meet in a vital Premier League fixture at The Hawthorns this Sunday. Victory for the Baggies will put them six points behind the Magpies and still in with a reasonable shot at staying up, but defeat would be disastrous for Sam Allardyce’s men. West Brom head into this crunch mach as the slight favourites with the bookies having been in decent form of late.
Albion were beaten at home by Everton in midweek but will feel they deserved at least a draw. Before that the Midlands outfit did pick up a crucial three points against Brighton & Hove Albion last Saturday and got draws in the two matches before that. Steve Bruce’s United are in poor form, losing 10 of 15 Premier League games since beating West Brom at St James’ Park in mid-December. The Baggies’ three league wins this term have been by a single-goal margin, and you can get 11/4 for the hosts to win by exactly one on Sunday, with 1-0 a decent bet at longer odds as well.
14:00 - Liverpool v Fulham
Liverpool host Fulham at Anfield in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon. Thursday’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea was the Reds’ fifth consecutive home league defeat, the worst run in the club’s history. Scott Parker’s Cottagers have shown a big improvement of late, and the London side will certainly fancy their chances in Merseyside. Can Fulham pile more misery on Jurgen Klopp and his men?
Since thumping Crystal Palace 7-0 on 19th December, Liverpool have gone on to win just two of their following 13 Premier League matches. The Reds have lost five of their last six in the league and have not won at home in seven (two draws, five defeats). They have not even scored from open play at Anfield since last year! Fulham were narrowly beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, which ended a five-game undefeated run. The Londoners are in good form, but Liverpool must win this one and we expect a reaction. Take a punt on the home win and both teams to score at decent looking odds of 21/10.
16:30 - Manchester City v Manchester United
Rivals Manchester City and Manchester United lock horns in a mouth-watering Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon. City have pulled away at the top after 15 straight wins and the league title is surely theirs. The battle for second spot is very much on though, with three or four teams likely to battle it out and seven or eight in with a chance of landing a top four spot. United have won just two of their previous eight in the Premier League, though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boys are still hanging on to second spot for now at least.
Man City head into this Manchester derby in stunning form. They are unbeaten in all competitions since a 2-0 league defeat at Tottenham Hotspur in November. Pep Guardiola’s men eased to a 4-1 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in midweek, which was their 21st league and cup victory in a row. Man United have been tough to beat this season and very strong on the road, but we fancy City to seal another comfortable home win. Have a punt on the hosts to win -1 at 13/10.
19:15 - Tottenham v Crystal Palace
London sides Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace do battle in Premier League action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday night. Spurs are back on track after three successive league and cup wins, scoring nine and conceding none, with Gareth Bale starting to show his true colours. This weekend, Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking for a fourth victory on the bounce.
After losing five of six, Tottenham have hit back with back-to-back league wins over Burnley and Fulham. Spurs ran riot against the Clarets on home turf last weekend, with Bale (2), Harry Kane and Lucas Moura netting in a resounding 4-0 win. Palace have drawn their last two (both 0-0), but we fancy Spurs to claim a comfortable home win here. Check out the solid odds of 5/4 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.
Monday 8th March 2021
18:00 - Chelsea v Everton
Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea welcome Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton to Stamford Bridge for a tasty Premier League fixture on Monday evening. The west London outfit have been solid under their new boss so far, firing themselves back into the UEFA Champions League places after a string of good results. The Toffees are also in great form, as they are just a point behind Chelsea in fifth and have a game in hand. If they can claim all three points here they will be in with a superb chance of finishing in the top four and their record against the top sides suggest such a result is certainly possible.
Since taking over at the Bridge, Tuchel has guided Chelsea to five wins and three draws from eight Premier League fixtures. Last time out, a Mason Mount goal gave the Londoners a 1-0 win at Anfield, condemning the Reds to a fifth straight loss on home soil. Everton have won three league games in a row, seeing off Liverpool, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion without conceding. However, we fancy Chelsea to edge this one on home turf. The hosts to win and both teams to score is priced at 11/4.
20:00 - West Ham v Leeds
The final Premier League fixture of the round takes place at the London Stadium on Monday night when David Moyes’ West Ham United host Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United. The Hammers have had an exceptional season so far, winning exactly half of their 26 league fixtures. Can the London side pick up another three points in this one to keep themselves in the top four race?
In 2021, West Ham have won seven of 10 Premier League fixtures, losing only to champions Liverpool and leaders Manchester City. Moyes’ troops have been formidable at home of late, winning five of their last six. Leeds have had a terrific first season back in the top flight, collecting 35 points so far. However, we can see West Ham easing to three points on Monday. You can get 9/2 for the Irons to win by exactly two goals.
About The Tips
The predictions found above are a collaborative effort from a variety of different tipsters. Matches will usually be covered a couple of days before kick off and focus on a combination of value and likely outcomes. We cover a variety of different bets but they usually center around:
- Match Odds – Including variations such as half time / full time, handicap and asian handicap and win to nil.
- Both Teams to Score – A very popular bet for accumulators which we often combine with the match winner.
- Over / Under – Also increasingly popular for accas and again something we regularly combine with the match winner for increased odds.
Also included with the predictions are the trends and stats to back up the argument which may lead you to draw your own conclusions.
Are You Always Right?
It is important to note that not all predictions will come true. This is an important fact to consider and something that many tips sites try to lead you to believe otherwise. In fact, if anyone tries to tell you they always win then they are almost certainly lying.
Success in betting comes from winning more than you lose, not winning every bet. To do this we need to find bets that have a good chance of winning but also where the odds are attractive enough to make the risk worthwhile.
How Does Value Betting Work?
There are many articles on the web that explain value in betting but it can be quickly illustrated through a coin toss which should have a 50-50 chance of being either heads or tails. For the purposes of this example, let’s assume that we toss the coin ten times and achieve and equal number of heads and tails (so five of each).
Scenario 1: True Odds
We bet £10 per toss on heads at the true odds of evens:
- Heads: 5 x £10 = +£50
- Tails: 5 x -£10 = -£50
- Net Result: £0
At the end of our ten tosses we’re at zero.
Scenario 2: Poor Value
For our second example let’s incorporate the bookmakers margin, meaning that we only receive odds of 4/5 on our winning bets.
- Heads: 5 x £8 = +£40
- Tails: 5 x -£10 = -£50
- Net Result: -£10
Because of the reduced odds on our winning bets we now lose £10 overall.
Scenario 3: Good Value
In our final example let’s assume that the person you’re betting against has miscalculated the chances and pay out at 6/5 for heads:
- Heads: 5 x £12 = +£60
- Tails: 5 x -£10 = -£50
- Net Result: +£10
Here we’ve made a profit of £10, purely because of the difference in the odds and these are the bets you want to try and find.
